    Description

    Introduction
Do you have a faulty EMM?  A new one can cost as much as €1700, but fortunately most of them can be repaired at a reasonable price.  Common problems which include a blown fuse, a battery which will not take a charge, no 55 V output from the alternator, or the EMM does not turn on at all (No LED’s) can often be fixed by repairing the EMM.  We will help you determine if you should ship the EMM to us or not.  After we repair your EMM it will not need to be reprogrammed.  I will be ready to reinstall when you receive it.
    Prevent unnecessary shipment
We advise you to have your EMM read before shipment to us to avoid unnecessary costs.  We have the cables and software in our product list if you do not have one.
    How it works
    Go to
    https://www.hardwarecare.nl
    and click on
    Submit EMM
.  Once you have filled in the form, the shipping address and further instructions will be sent to the email address you have provided.  Once the repair is complete you can pay on the website using iDeal, Paypal or bank payment.
    Price and Guarantee
The repair is subject to a fixed rate of €360,- ex. VAT. for engines under 100 hp and €460,- ex. VAT. for engines above 100 hp. The repair includes the restoration of the housing, which will be vulcanized again with special silicones. After the repair a complete check of the EMM follows, this is performed on a simulation setup that mimics an Evinrude e-tec. No extra costs will be charged for this check. The check takes place so that a guarantee of 12 months, after payment of the invoice, can be offered. When the package is shipped from us, it is always shipped with the PostNL insurance service.
    Evinrude Ficht EMM
At this time we do not provide repair for this EMM.
    Caution from Hardware Care
Never replace a fuse with one of a higher value.  This can result in the destruction of electronic components and can make the EMM worthless.  Some dealers recommend increasing the rating of the fuse. DO NOT DO THIS!
